The Best Ever Cheddar Garlic Biscuits

Ingredients:

For Biscuits:
2 cup self rising flour
2 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded, plus 1/4 cup additional for topping
2 teaspoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon table salt
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
1 cup whole milk

For Garlic Butter Topping:
4 tablespoons butter
1/s teaspoon garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried parsley
garlic salt, to taste

Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.  Middle position rack.  Line baking sheet parchment paper.
Mix together flour, cheddar cheese, and garlic in a medium bowl.  Stir in milk and continue to mix until combined. Be careful not to over mix.  The dough should be sticky and slightly firm; not too wet or dry.   Add more flour or milk if needed to achieve desired consistency. Scoop or spoon dough onto cookie sheet, Each biscuit should be about 3 tablespoons, more or less. Sprinkle each biscuit with cheese.
Bake for 15 minutes, until the tops are golden brown.

Melt butter along with the garlic and parsley in the microwavable bowl.  Brush or spoon on tops of biscuits with garlic butter and sprinkle with garlic salt to taste.
